Access Your Unit at Oceanwave Storage
At Oceanwave Storage, we offer two convenient and secure ways to access our facility and your individual storage unit:
- StorID App (Recommended for most users) — Use your smartphone with the state-of-the-art StorID mobile app for keyless, Bluetooth-enabled entry to the building and your unit.
- Phoneless Mode — A traditional code-based option that requires no smartphone or app—just enter your personal access code at the keypad.
We’ve partnered with PTI Security Systems, a global leader in self-storage security, to deliver both options using their advanced ProEdge smart locks and access technology. Choose the method that best fits your needs—secure, simple, and tailored to you.
StorID App Overview
The StorID app lets you say goodbye to traditional keys, codes, or access cards. Available for both Android and iOS, it allows you to:
- Access the Facility: Open the main door using your smartphone.
- Control Your Unit: Unlock your individual storage unit with PTI’s ProEdge smart lock.
- Share Access: Securely share digital access with trusted individuals (e.g., family or movers) with configurable lockout settings.
- Monitor Activity: View access history to track who enters your unit and when.
The app uses next-generation Bluetooth technology for fast, reliable, and secure connections.
Getting Started with the StorID App
Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Download the App:
- Visit the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and search for “StorID.”

- Download and install the app on your smartphone.

Receive Your Enrollment Link:
- After renting your unit, you will receive a text message with a unique enrollment code to connect your account to the StorID app.

Enroll and Set Up:
- Open the StorID app to start registration.
- Click SIGN UP, provide your email, create a password, and enter the PIN from your enrollment text.
- Log in with your new email and password.
- Ensure Bluetooth and Location are enabled on your phone.

Enter the Building:
- With the app running, approach the keypad next to the front door.
- Within seconds, you’ll hear a beep, see a welcome message, and the door will open.

Access Your Unit:
- Go to your unit and press the button on the latch.
- In the app, tap the lock icon, then drag the slider to the right to unlock.
Phoneless Mode (No Smartphone Required)
If you prefer not to use a smartphone or the StorID app, Phoneless Mode lets you access everything with a simple access code—no app, Bluetooth, or phone needed.
How Phoneless Mode Works:
- Enter the Building: Approach the keypad next to the front door and enter your personal access code. The door will open.
- Access Your Unit: Go to your storage unit and press the button on the ProEdge smart lock latch to unlock it.
- Lock Your Unit: When finished, press the button on the latch again to lock the unit.
To enable Phoneless Mode (which requires setup on our end), please email us at info@oceanwavestorage.com. Include your name, unit number, and a request to activate this option. We’ll confirm your access code and notify you once it’s active.
Note: Enabling Phoneless Mode disables app-based access until you request to switch back (if desired).
Troubleshooting
- App Issues: If the app hangs on the logo screen or shows “no internet” errors, try closing and restarting the app or your phone.
- Login Problems: Contact Oceanwave Storage or PTI Support at 866-240-7602 to verify account details.
- Enrollment Link Issues: If you don’t receive the text, contact Oceanwave Storage to resend it.
- Support: Reach out to Oceanwave Storage or PTI’s team for help. PTI is continuously improving the app based on feedback.
